Donna Lassiter will discuss how to create a meadow garden for birds, bees and a diversity of wildlife by growing beautiful, hardy grasses and native plants. She will showcase species that thrive in a variety of home landscape conditions and their benefits for the environment as well as cultural tips for growing them with success.
Donna Lassiter is a CCE Master Gardener Volunteer where she manages the design and maintenance of the butterfly-hummingbird and meadow garden demonstrations at Pruyn Sanctuary in Chappaqua. She is committed to promoting a healthy environment and grows over 90 species of native plants in her home gardens. Donna serves on the board of Saw Mill River Audubon.
