ABC'S OF ROCK GARDENING

SESSION 1 OF THE 2020 HOME GARDENING LECTURE SERIES - 2 LA HSW CREDIT HOURS WILL BE AWARDED

Michael Wilson will give us a slide presentation covering the successful culture of alpine plants in the New York/New Jersey area. Alpine ecology gives an understanding of native habitat, while Building and maintaining explains growing alpine plants at low elevations. The Compendium of plants gives a list of plants that perform well.

Michael Wilson is the Horticultural Laboratory Technician for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County and is an Adjunct Professor of Environmental Studies at Ramapo College of NJ. Michael is a member of the North American Rock Garden Society and has served as chair and vice chair. He was responsible for the rock gardens at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum and also grows alpine plants at home.

Fee

$18 per lecture ($20 at door) or $90 for the entire 2020 Home Gardening Lecture Series
