Session 2 of 2019 Home Gardening Lecture
Jacqui Bergonzi will show how to bring a smile to your lips when you savor the taste of summer vegetables that you grew yourself. Her talk will cover soil prep, including raised beds and containers. She will discuss watering, fencing and staking. Seasonal maintenance, essential tools and putting the garden to bed will be covered. Jacqui will touch on organic gardening practices, pollinators and companion plantings.
Jacqui Bergonzi is a CCE Master Gardener Volunteer with a Horticulture Certificate from NYBG. Jacqui enjoys encouraging gardeners to experience the benefits of the farm-to-table revolution in their backyards. As a proponent of native plants in the landscape, she serves on the Steering Committee of the Native Plant Center in Valhalla. She is on the board of the 9th District Federated Garden Clubs of NYS.
$18 per lecture ($20 at door) or $90 for the entire 2019 Home Gardening Lecture Series
