Sav DeGiorgio will lead us on a woodland walk to explore
the trees and nature trails at Hart’s Brook Park and Preserve
in Hartsdale, NY. If you always wanted to know the difference between a Norway and a sugar maple, Sav will help us to distinguish this and how to identify other trees. Please note:
this walk will take place on natural, uneven terrain.
Sav DeGiorgio is Greenburgh Parks Department Caretaker for Hart’s Brook Park and Preserve and an ISA Certified Arborist. Sav is a landscape and tree consultant. He is a birder, fascinated by insects and enjoys nature photography. Sav has a B.A. in Zoology from SUNY Oswego and received his Master’sDegree in Teaching in biology and science from Manhattanville College.
