SESSION 5 OF THE 2023 HOME GARDENING LECTURE SERIES (5 of 5 plus tour)
CREATING A SENSORY GARDEN
Wednesday, May 3, 2023
10:00 AM-11:00 AM
REMOTE ON ZOOM
Speaker: Adrienne Mecca
Adrienne Mecca will show how any garden can become a Sensory Garden with a little creativity and imagination. The addition of elements to stimulate the senses can create an environment that can be enjoyed by all. While the concept of a Sensory Garden is often associated with accessibility for Individuals with Disabilities, the garden can also enhance the enjoyment of an outdoor space for anyone looking to benefit from the outdoors.
Adrienne Mecca is a CCE Master Gardener Volunteer who serves on the Home Garden Lecture Series. She takes pride in her eclectic garden that blooms most of the year and is home to numerous pollinators. Despite having a small yard, Adrienne is able to provide friends and family and even squirrels with a variety of vegetables grown in raised gardens and pots.
